Problem: An ABEC customer had a significant product
demand, but annual preventative maintenance
(PM) was still required on their equipment. To work
around this issue, they modified their production
schedule to maintain the PM activities. Rather than
completely shutting down the entire production
line, they implemented a rolling, suite-by-suite
shutdown over a few months.
